About this sketch
A congressional hearing for the Secretary of Technology quickly falls apart as senators abandon serious policy questions and instead demand answers about Instagram algorithms, printer ink scams, WhatsApp messages, hot singles ads, and disappearing photos.
This comedy sketch parodies Senate hearings, congressional investigations, government oversight, tech regulation, social media algorithms, AI policy, and the growing disconnect between lawmakers and modern technology.
As the Secretary of Technology attempts to discuss consumer privacy, internet scams, and technology regulation, lawmakers become distracted by personal tech problems that nobody in the room seems qualified to solve.
